These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of RateXBuild, a service operated by Edges LLC. By using RateXBuild, you agree to these Terms.
Purpose of RateXBuild
RateXBuild is a business pricing and job-cost planning tool intended to help contractors and service businesses estimate sustainable rates and project prices based on user-selected assumptions.
RateXBuild provides estimates for planning purposes only. Results are not guarantees of profitability, revenue, tax liability, project cost, or business performance.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing all information entered into RateXBuild and determining whether the resulting calculations are appropriate for your business, customers, projects, location, and circumstances.
Before issuing a quote, proposal, invoice, contract, or other commercial document, you should independently verify all pricing, costs, taxes, quantities, assumptions, and other material information.
Tax and financial information
Tax percentages, reserves, pricing assumptions, and related calculations provided by RateXBuild are estimates for business-planning purposes only. RateXBuild does not provide tax, accounting, financial, legal, or professional advice.
You are responsible for consulting qualified professionals when advice specific to your business or circumstances is required.
Saved quotes and local storage
RateXBuild currently stores saved quotes, business-name information, and invoice numbering locally in your browser. Edges LLC does not guarantee that locally stored information will remain available.
Browser data may be lost if you clear browser storage, change browsers or devices, use private browsing features, reset your device, or experience other technical problems. You are responsible for maintaining copies of information you need for your business records.
Invoices and business documents
Documents generated using RateXBuild are provided as tools for your convenience. You are responsible for reviewing them before sending, printing, saving, relying upon, or providing them to a customer or other third party.
Acceptable use
You may use RateXBuild for lawful business and professional purposes. You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, or use RateXBuild in violation of applicable law.
Intellectual property
RateXBuild, including its branding, interface, original content, software, presentation, and related materials, is owned by or licensed to Edges LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of RateXBuild or its underlying software to users. You may use the service for its intended purpose, but may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, rebrand, or commercially exploit the RateXBuild software or interface without permission from Edges LLC, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Service availability and changes
Edges LLC may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features of RateXBuild at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
No warranties
RateXBuild is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Edges LLC makes no guarantee that calculations, estimates, outputs, or other information will be accurate, complete, suitable, or appropriate for every user or project.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Edges LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from the use of or inability to use RateXBuild, including losses related to pricing decisions, contracts, profits, business opportunities, data, or customer relationships.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to these Terms
Edges LLC may update these Terms from time to time. The date shown at the top of this page indicates when they were most recently revised.
